Rizal Fronda, 72, of Kailua-Kona, a retired Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park employee and an Army veteran who served in the Vietnam War, died in Kona Community Hospital. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife Kuniko; son David; daughter Marisa; brothers Kia and Ernest; sisters Emily Choyfoo, Maria Simeona, Eileen Jurado, Gloria Muraki and Maile Baird; and five grandchildren. Visitation: 5 p.m. Jan. 16 at Lanakila Congregational Church, Kainaliu. Graveside services: 9 a.m. Jan. 17 at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery, Kailua-Kona. Casual attire. Flowers welcome.
