JOHN F. WHITE John F. White, 60, passed away on December 26, 2014 after a long battle with cancer. He left behind an amazing wife, Lixin Song White, stepson Song Zhang, four immediate siblings, Jackie Hastings, Ralph Spencer White, Rose Marie Everett, and Laura May Bucholtz. Each of these siblings, accompanied by John's nieces Laura May Polanco, Giget Marie Davis, Jessie Marie Spickelmier, and John's grandnephew Jason Daniel Everett, honored John's last wish by making the trip to Hawaii to be with him during the final week of his life. John is also survived by ten other siblings who loved him just as much: brothers John White, Christopher White, Timothy White, Todd White and sisters Kathy Rybak, Tina Boucher, Tammy Franciose, Terry Masterson, DeeDee Naughton, Tracy Di Rienzo, and numerous nephews and nieces. John served as Director of Maintenance Operations for Hawaiian Building Maintenance in Honolulu. Prior to joining HBM, he was the chief engineer at Central Pacific Plaza where he implemented and managed several energy saving projects. John holds several energy and A/C certifications and was often invited to be a guest speaker on energy efficiencies around the state for various organizations, including HECO, Hawaii Energy, the Rebuild Hawaii Consortium and more. He helped several local buildings obtain Energy Star Awards, and continually provided feedback and consultation on LEED certified projects around the state. Originally from Worcester, Massachusetts, John moved to Hawaii in 1988 where he started his own maintenance company and oversaw maintenance at many of Waikiki's condominiums. He served as President of the AOAO Board of Directors at Plaza at Century Court and Director of several Chinese organizations such as NDCC, NTDTV, and the Faulun Dafa Association of Hawaii. John dedicated his personal time to his wife, family and spiritual practice. He touched many lives and put smiles on many people's faces as an internationally licensed clown. John will be greatly missed by his wife, family and friends.
Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
