George Masatoshi Uyema, 79, of Kaneohe, a retired engineer for the City and County of Honolulu, chief of the city Department of Wastewater Management and an Army veteran, died in Kaneohe. He was born in Waianae. He is survived by wife Aileen A., son Alton M., daughters Carleen S. Yokotake and Leanne M.U. Watanabe, brother Aaron Y. Uyema and eight grandchildren. Visitation: 4:30 p.m. Friday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Services: 6 p.m. Casual attire.
