SAKAI HIROMOTO Sakai Hiromoto passed away on January 10, 2015 in Kaneohe, Hawaii. Born in Honolulu, he was retired from the City and County Wastewater dept. and was a member of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Flora Hiromoto, his Daughter, Sandra Mau, Son-in- law, Daryl Mau, Granddaughters, Brittney Mau, Holly-Jill Lugo, and Lindsey Mau, and Great- grandchildren, Uriah and Juliette Lugo. He was also loved and cared for by his dear friend Ji-Sung Kang, Caregivers, Francis Mafua, Salote Mafua and family and sisters, Sumie Kubota and Helen (Stephen) Nakamatsu. He will be remembered for his very giving nature, and lived a simple life, always putting his family and others first before his own needs. Private services pending. In lieu of flowers and monetary offerings, the family requests donations be made to Islands Hospice in his name.
