Robert E. Smith, 85, of Magalia, Calif., a professor of human physiology and an Army veteran, died in Honolulu. He was born in Pasadena, Calif. He is survived by wife Maryse Bader-Smith, sons Dean and Neal, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Private services. Donations suggested to Doctors Without Borders.
