FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

RALPH JOSEPH KAHO`ONEI
$nameRALPH JOSEPH KAHO`ONEI Ralph Joseph Kaho`onei, 58, was born on December 30, 1955 and raised in Makaha. A graduate of Waianae High School's Class of 1973, he married his high school sweetheart, Marlene, on December 28, 1979 and had 3 children together. The couple moved to Nanakuli in 1981 where they raised their family. As his children will attest, he was the best provider and protector of his prized living legacy-his family. Ralph was a member of Mission Fellowship Ministry in Nanakuli. Ralph worked in the construction industry for over 30 years and was vested in both the Laborers' and Operators' Unions. He took pride in being a heavy equipment operator for 20+ years. The ocean was Ralph's playground, as he spent many carefree days surfing at Makaha Beach and fishing on the Waianae Coast. Ralph was an original member of Makaha Surfing Association. He served on the Board of Directors of Makaha Canoe Club from 2012-2014. He often entered Buffalo's Big Board Contest and the Ahi Fever Fishing Tournament. Ralph and Marlene loved to go deep sea fishing on their boat, Kawahinelokahi II. Ralph was called home by our Heavenly Father on December 29, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Marlene Ryannette Kaho`onei; children Makanaola Kaho`onei, Kau`ilani Kaho`onei (Tim) Arce; grandson Ezekiel Arce; parents James and Lucy Kaho`onei; siblings Lucy Ann (Al) Fernandez, James (Snooki) Kaho`onei, Richard (Tamee) Kaho`onei, Ken (Sharlene) Kaho`onei.
