FRANCES DUNN HAYGOOD February 24, 2015 Frances "Frankie" Dunn Haygood, 88, of Kaneohe, a retired realtor has died. Frankie was born, October 4, 1926 in Delaware to J Frank Dunn and Mary Mahaffey Dunn. Along with her "pioneer" parents and elder sister they relocated to the Territory of Hawaii in 1929. Frankie graduated from Sacred Hearts Academy in 1944. After the War, she moved to the East Coast and was employed by the Canadian Ambassador, in Washington, DC, as his personal secretary for two years. Frankie enjoyed her time working in Washington and especially loved the opportunity to get to know her extended family in Delaware. Frankie was a true Island girl and followed her heart home to Honolulu where in 1949 she married Paul F. Haygood and worked as Executive Secretary for the CEO of Queens Hospital. Frankie was instrumental in helping to start several real estate offices in Honolulu including, Vi Dolman, Jake Urner and Ann Jeffries. She is survived by her sons Paul Gerard Haygood of Kaneohe; James Dunn Haygood (Jackie Murphy) of Branson Missouri; daughter Mary Haygood Topic (Robert Topic) of Kaneohe; brothers Joseph Patrick Dunn (Dolores Davey Dunn); Brother James Mary Dunn S.S.C.C., eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Fitzgerald Haygood and sister Jane Dunn Lowe. Visitation 10:30am Friday, January 6, 2015 at Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Services 11am. Burial will follow at Diamond Head Memorial Park at 12:45.
