ROBERT EDWIN PAINE SR. Oct. 2, 1921 - Oct. 4, 2014 Sonora, California Robert Edwin Paine, Sr. passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of October 4, 2014, two days after his 93rd birthday, in Sonora, California. As a realtor in Hawaii for 51 years, he was known as "Aloha Bob". He was a WWII fighter pilot in the U.S. Navy, Marines, and Air Corps, retiring after 17 years. Aloha Bob and his wife, Nani, moved to California in 2013, to be closer to family. He is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters. A memorial will be held Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the Honolulu Elks Lodge #616 at 1:30 pm., followed by taking his ashes beyond the reef.
