CHUNG DHO AHN
CHUNG DHO AHN Chung Dho Ahn, 93, passed away on Oct. 12, 2014. Born on Dec. 31, 1920, Mr. Ahn attended McKinley High School and the University of Hawaii where he was graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering. He was a veteran who served in the U.S. Army during World War II. In 1945, he married Helen H.B. Lee and together they raised five daughters. Chung Dho Ahn worked for Park & Park Engineering before establishing his own civil engineering and real property development corporation, Chung Dho Ahn & Associates, Inc. which he successfully ran for many years. He and his wife Helen Ahn were major fund-raisers for and instrumental in the building of the Center for Korean Studies at the University of Hawaii. Having been predeceased by his beloved wife Helen, Mr. Ahn is survived by his five daughters Karen Ahn, Jennifer Ahn Minami (Howard), Marcella Ahn Sugihara (Stuart), Lucy Ahn, Margaret Ahn Seabright (Michael), 10 beloved grand- children and five great-grand- children. A private service has been held.
