76Van Uhl Hamilton, 60, of Kahului, a welder, died in Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born in Oakland, Calif. He is survived by wife Faith; stepsons Ralph and John Lovato; stepdaughter Stephanie Newman; stepfather Joseph Rodrigues; brothers Stephen and Kirk; sisters Robin Hong, Donna Clark and Deanaa Hooker; and eight grandchildren.
