Sidney Ichiro Hashimoto
SIDNEY ICHIRO HASHIMOTO Was born on March 1, 1924 in Honolulu to Keizo and Shinobu Hashimoto and he passed away on January 27, 2015. He graduated from the University of Hawaii and New York University School of Law after having served with the "M" Company of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, earning a Purple Heart among other honors. He married Nancy Shizuko Murakami on June 19, 1948 and served as Deputy Prosecutor and City Attorney with the City and County of Honolulu, was a member of the State House of Representatives, representing the 12th House District and served as the Director of the Department of Regulatory Agencies in Governor Jack Burns' cabinet before entering the private practice of law with Chee, Hashimoto, Lee and Oshiro. He was a member of the Board of the Directors of the Bank of Hawaii among other organizations and was a member of the Lions Club. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, and his three daughters, Valarie Hashimoto, Cheryl (George) Hetherington and Sharon (Jim) Burkert, grandchildren Tiffany, Devon, Alexander, Kathryn and Jeffrey and one great-grandchild Skye. Private services have been held.
