74John Rente Arruda, 92, of San Jose, Calif., formerly of Kealia, Kauai, a retired C&H Sugar supervisor, died. He was born in Kealia. He is survived by son Calvin, sisters Florence Carvalho and Lydia Rodrigues, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Friday at St. Catherine Catholic Church, Kapaa. Mass: 11 a.m. Burial to follow at St. Catherine Cemetery, Kealia.
