ANN TSUYUKO SATO 10/27/36 - 2/25/15 Ann was born in Honolulu to Edward and Asaye Sato on October 27, 1936. She was the second of three daughters. She graduated from McKinley High School and Honolulu Community College and had a very successful career in the Department of Education. She worked as cafeteria manager at Waianae, Radford and Moanalua High Schools. She later rose to School Service Supervisor for the Maui District and the Leeward District before retiring in 1992. Aunty Annie loved to cook. There wasn't a holiday party that she was not manning the kitchen and making sure that there was an abundance of everyone's favorite dishes, including a fine restaurant's assortment of yummy baked items. "AA" was an avid traveler. She also loved to shop. She never had an idle moment as she filled each moment with her love of crossword puzzles, puzzles, sewing and mysteries (especially Japanese mysteries). She loved to listen to musical soundtracks and her favorite singers like Johnny Mathis. She had her favorite television programs like "Castle" which she rarely missed. Aunty Annie passed away peacefully on February 25, 2015 at Hale Nani Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunty and grand aunty, who is survived by sisters, Jeanne Nishioka and Claire Sato; brother-in-law, Richard Nishioka; nephews, Edward and Eric Nishioka; and grandniece, Sarah Nishioka, and grandnephew, Matthew Ogata. Visitation at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Service at 2:00 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
