Charles John "Charlie" Maas Jr., 67, of Pahoa, Hawaii, a hotel developer and a Navy veteran who served in the Vietnam War, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Chicago. He is survived by wife Jeanne and son Nick. Private services.
