74Benjamin Chico Umayam, 67, of Honokaa, Hawaii, a Hamakua Sugar Co. mill tender and a former pool attendant at Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, died in North Hawaii Community Hospital. He was born in Honokaa. He is survived by daughter Siara Acdal; brother Daniel; sisters Josephine Kini, Dorothy Jordan, Susie Akagi, Cecelia Islaias and Charlene Rodriguez; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation: 8 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Honokaa. Mass: 10 a.m. Urn burial to follow at the church cemetery. Casual attire.
