James De Ponte, 95, of Waianae, a carpenter at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and an Army veteran, died in Honolulu. He was born in Kilauea, Kauai. He is survived by numerous nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, great-grandnephews and great-grandnieces. Committal services: 1 p.m. Tuesday at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl.
