John Edwin Leihoomio Lindsey, 84, of Honolulu, formerly of Pauoa, a retired merchant seaman for Matson and Young Brothers and a veteran of the Navy and Marine Corps, died. He was born in Waialua. He is survived by brother James "Kimo" and sisters Maile Lee, Merle Piper and Eleanor "Lala" Pietz. Services: 8 a.m. Friday at Elks Honolulu Lodge, Waikiki. Scattering of ashes to follow. Casual attire. Lei and loose flowers welcome.
