Joseph Kalani De Freitas, 70, of Honolulu, a driver and an Army veteran, died in Tripler Army Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Christine; sons Joseph "Kalani" III, Ivan "Hoku," Christopher, Kamuela and Iokepa; daughter Dionne; brother Paul "Koi"; sisters Pamela McShane, Paulette Paaluhi, Penelope Kaneakua and Jacquelyn De Freitas; and 14 grandchildren. Services: 9 a.m. Wednesday at Central Seventh-day Adventist Church. Committal services: 2 p.m. at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl.
