Johnny Kamahele, 79, of Hilo, a retired Army command sergeant major and a corrections officer at Kulani Correctional Center, died in Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. He was born in Pahoa, Hawaii. He is survived by daughters Donna C., Anita and Marina Kamahele, and Gabrielle Rhind; and five grandchildren. Private services. Condolences: homelanimemorialpark. com.
