John Haruto Shinagawa, 97, of Kailua, a retired Dole Credit Union manager and an Army veteran who served in World War II with the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, died in Castle Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by son Peter J., daughter Susan J., three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Private services.
