Karen Alice “Ana” Doom, 75, of Keaau, Hawaii, an Orchidland Community Association bookkeeper, a former secretary for First United Protestant Church in Hilo and a former composing room employee at the San Diego Union and Evening Tribune, died in Hilo Medical Center. She was born in Minnesota. She is survived by daughters Dana K. Maeda and Jana L. Hunter, son Kevin, brother John Hanson, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Private services.
