Stanley Mitsuru Kogasaka, 80, of Hilo, a retired construction superintendent from the former M. Sonomura Contracting Co. and former building construction inspector at the state Department of Accounting and General Services, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was also an Army veteran who served in the Korean War. He was born in Pepeekeo, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Miriam; son Daryle Kitamori; daughters Kellie DeRego, Lornalee Karvas and Adele Cacho; brother Herbert; sisters Alice Dakujaku and Elaine Re; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Services: 11 a.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
