Alfredo “Sonny†Asuncion, 77, of Kapaa, Kauai, a retired carpenter, died in Honolulu. He was born on Kauai. He is survived by wife Kathleen, sons Alfred “Kimo†Escalante and Ramond Asuncion, daughter Jan Kaleimamahu, stepson Stanford Aban, stepdaughters Michelle Saia and Danette Madeira, brother Junior, sister Beatrice Furamoto, 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9:30 a.m. May 23 at St. Catherine Catholic Church, Kapaa. Services: 11:30 a.m. Casual attire.
