SHARON KESAKO JANDA
SHARON KESAKO JANDA (AKAHOSHI) Age 67, resident of Ko Olina, HI and Potomac, MD, suffered a Sudden Cardiac Arrest and died Dec. 31, 2014. Born in Lanai City, Hawaii, she found her artistic niche in the DC area gaining friends in the arts from around the globe. Sharon was a well known fiber artist in the DC area, focusing on felted apparel, accessories and sculpture. Her Wild Plum Designs label provided contemporary elegance for the woman who celebrates her spirit. As a tribute to her, a posthumous exhibit of her creations was held at the Waverly Street Gallery in Bethesda, MD in February. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard and son, Sean Singleton. Also by her sisters, Kiyomi Kunishige, Susan Tanaka and Mazie Kimura. Services were held in Potomac, MD and Ko Olina, HI.
