74Hidemi “Granny†Kawane, 95, of Kalaheo, Kauai, a retired state Department of Education cook at Eleele Elementary School, died at home. She was born in Makaweli, Kauai. She is survived by sons Edwin, Gary and Wallace; daughter Lillian Vierra; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren. Private services.
