Richard Labaya, 81, of Waianae, an operations supervisor for Hawaiian Cement and a Coast Guard veteran, died in Pali Momi Medical Center. He was born in South Hilo. He is survived by sons Richard Jr.; daughters Renee M. Wynn, Lucy A. Labaya Eliazar, Marietta Rillera, Vanessa Lewi, Beverly F. Labaya and Nadine E. Viray; brother Thomas; sisters Felippa Mero and Shirley M. Reyes; 19 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 5:45 p.m. Thursday at Borthwick Mortuary.
