ALBERT FRUMKIN
ALBERT FRUMKIN (91) of 15115 Interlachen Drive, Silver Spring, MD, formerly from Aiea, Hawaii, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 3rd, 2015. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and served in the 106th Infantry Division of the US Army during WWII. Albert was a Prisoner of War during the Battle of the Bulge. After he was liberated and honorably discharged, he returned to Washington, DC. where he attended GW University and then had a successful career with the Federal government. In 1979 he retired to Hawaii with his wife, Helen, where he dedicated himself to the service of other veterans in numerous capacities including the Director of the USO,and the Commander of the Hawaii Chapter of the American Ex-POW Group and endless service at the Family Service Center in Pearl Harbor. Family was everything to Al. He is survived by his wife, Helen, of nearly 68 years,. He leaves three children - Eileen Frumkin of Broadlands, VA, Robert (Maureen) Frumkin of Olney, MD and Susan (Mark) Goldenberg of Discovery Bay, CA. He is also survived by seven grand- children and eight great-grand- children. His surviving sister Gerry Kojan of Palmyra, VA and many nieces and nephews.
