MARK EDWIN FITZEK Age 67, of Haleiwa, passed away at home in his castle, the S.S. Leo, on May 9, 2015. He was born in San Diego, California. He was a chef at Haleiwa Joe's. He is survived by his wife, Carmen T. Fitzek; son, Zane A. Fitzek; and sister, Lynne A. Fitzek. Memorial services and celebration of life will be held at Sunset Point on Thursday. Service to begin at 2:00 p.m. Paddle out for scattering of ashes at 4:00 p.m. My Dad, Mark Fitzek, was a devoted family man and a hard worker. His love of his family and friends had no limit. As I learned from his life over the years, I realized something extraordinary. He loved us - no matter the pain or disappointment that we might have caused. Watching his life leave this world while gripping my hand smiling, made me understand there is nothing to worry about. He raised me to be there when a friend needs me and to never turn my back on a loved one. Because the truth isyou never know when you might not be able to hold their hand again. We LOVE You Dad.
