Hideyo "Hide" Sakai, 86, of Wahiawa, a retired Army veteran and Hawaiian Telephone Co. employee, died in Honolulu. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by sons Allan and Patrick; brothers Wilfred, David and Daniel; sister Vicky; and six grandchildren. Private services.
