GRACE ENG Grace Eng, 68, of Honolulu, Hawaii, was called to Heaven on May 18, 2015. Born as Ok Sik Kang, in Seoul, South Korea. Grace came to the U.S. 32 years ago, and became a citizen shortly thereafter. She lived briefly in Los Angeles and settled in Honolulu, where she attended cosmetology school and opened her own salon, Professional Hairstyling on Kaheka St. After nearly 30 years, Grace retired and sold the salon in 2007. Grace loved life and independently reached personal success. As a naturalized citizen, she achieved the "American Dream" by owning her own business and purchasing and paying off the mortgage of her Waikiki condo. She is survived by husband Dennis K.W. Eng, son Eun Young (So Jung) Hwang (Chicago, Illinois), step-children Kimberly (Michael) Ansagay, Tammy (Rodney) Tam, Glenden (Brandie) Eng, 5 grandsons and 1 great-granddaughter, sisters Helen Takeuchi and Un Sik Kang (Honolulu), and In Sik Kang (Seoul, South Korea). Private services were held.
