73Shane Christopher Paulos, 39, of Hilo, a Hawaii County Fire Department paramedic, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by companion Dori Sugihara, parents Stephen and Mary Ann, brother Ryan and sisters Christy Paulos and Marlaina Fujisawa. Visitation: 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hilo. Mass: 10:30 a.m. Celebration of life: 4 p.m. Thursday at Wailoa State Park large pavilion No. 2. Casual attire.
