Deacon Andrew Jude Gerakas, 87, of Honolulu, a deacon at Star of the Sea Church, a retiree of the state Department of Business and Economic Development and an Army veteran, died in Honolulu. He was born in New York. He is survived by sons Michael and John, daughter Mary Wellein, brother Evans, sister Ethel and four grandchildren. Visitation: 8:30 a.m. Friday at Star of the Sea Church, 4470 Aliikoa St. Mass: 10 a.m. Committal service: 2 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe. Aloha attire. No flowers.
