Robert Masashi Monden, 82, of Kula, Maui, a retired state Judiciary chief administrator of the Maui Circuit Court, an Army veteran who served in the Korean War, former councilman and Kula farmer, died. He was born on Maui. He is survived by wife Mary, daughters Linda and Jade, stepson Brian Char, brothers Henry and Roy, and a grandchild. Visitation: 4 p.m. June 27 at Ballard Family Mortuary, Kahului. Celebration of life and dinner to follow. No flowers. The family also requests special considerations when communicating with Robert's wife, Mary, whose short-term memory loss has not allowed her to remember his passing.
