LANE KAULUHINANO CIACCI
LANE KAULUHINANO CIACCI Lane passed away at home after a long illness. Born on February 12, 1932. He was the oldest of four sons to Maria Lane and Mike Ciacci. Lane grew up in Kalia-Waikiki and graduated in 1950 from McKinley High School where he excelled in football and track. He was employed at Lewers & Cooke, H C & D, and retired from Unity House & the Teamsters Union. While he was at Lewers & Cooke and H.C,& D. he played basketball and volleyball in the Business Mens League. He served in the Waimanalo Lions Club for 20 yrs. He coached the Little League Baseball and Pop Warner Football in Waimanalo. He helped with the Parks & Recreation Summer Fun Program in Waimanalo. While at Unity House he started and organized the sports program for the Union taking members to Las Vegas for golf and bowling. He also organized the Softball Tournament at Kapiolani Park every Sunday. For many years Lane was a basketball official with Oahu Interscholastic Association. Lane moved to Maui enjoying retirement until he became ill and had to return back to Oahu. Lane is survived by MaryE. Friel Ciacci, daughter Ellen Leinani Ciacci Vincent Lono (SamHilo), sons; Michael Friel (Lynn-Waialua), Daniel Robinson (Gregg-Las Vegas, Nevada) & Jonathan Rowe Ciacci. Brother; George Kapule Ciacci of Hollywood California. Lane was preceded in death by sons; Lane "Bobo" (Nancy) Ciacci, Cornwell "Corn"Ciacci and his brothers Charles and Estevan. 11 Grandchildren- Joelle Vincent, Las Vegas, Nevada, Pomai Uyehara (Barry -Northlake Texas), Keolahou Joseph Vincent and Kaike Allen Vincent (Robyn-Hilo), Jennifer Ciacci-Brown (Eddie Tacoma Washington), Kekoa Toshi and Kaleo Masao Ciacci, Christina "Miss Holo'', Cheyne, Chaz, and Chaysen Ciacci. 10 Great-Grandchildren & 1 Great-Great Grand-Daughter -Malia. Services will be held at Oahu Cemetery, Nuuanu on Monday June 29, 2015. Visitation 9:30am, Services 10:30 am. lunch to follow. Please no flowers. Scattering of ashes will be private.
