82Katherine Paiva Opunui, also known as "Katie" and "Kathy," 86, of Waikoloa, Hawaii, formerly of Kaneohe, a retired alterations manager for Liberty House Kailua, died in Honokaa, Hawaii. She was born in Ahualoa, Hawaii. She is survived by daughters Antoinette Brucker and Leonora "Lani" Opunui, sisters Minnie Reis and Lorraine Steinbacher, brother Albert Paiva, a grandchild and a great-grandchild. Committal services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl.
