PATRICK "PATTY BOY" MAU
$namePATRICK PATTY BOY MAU Beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather, Patrick "Patty Boy" Mau, was born on June 17, 1936 in Keokea, Maui. He was the first child of six to be born to Patrick Mau, Sr. and Peggy Mau. Patrick was a graduate of Lahaina Luna Class of 1953. After graduation he joined the Army on October 5, 1953 and was stationed at Ladd Airforce Base, Fairbanks Alaska, HQHQ & Co. Yukon Command, where he was an aircraft mechanic. At the conclusion of his military career, he relocated to Southern California and was employed with Litton Industries from 1960-1969. While with the Manufacturing Guidance Systems Division of Litton, he met his wife Mary Elizabeth Williams. The couple married in Los Angeles on June 16, 1962 and had two daughters, Leah and Kimberly. Following Litton Patrick joined Xerox manufacturing and enjoyed a successful and productive 30+ year career until his retirement in 2000. Xerox manufacturing co-workers were his extended family and these friendships lasted throughout his lifetime. It could be said that his retirement was as happy and exciting as his professional career. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling the world, golfing, cooking, and dining out, reading, watching sports, going to the movies, and appreciated all of the wonders of life. Patrick was well known for his good nature and zest for life. He lovingly took care of his family and those he befriended with equal enthusiasm. His generosity and concern for others was inspiring. Patrick passed suddenly on June 16, 2015. He was predeceased August 30, 2013, by his beautiful wife of 50 years, Mary Elizabeth. He was also predeceased by brothers Dennis and Philip Mau. He is survived by his mother, Peggy Mau, brother Dale Mau (Faye), brother Ron (Penny), sister Carol Spencer (Clark), daughters Leah and Kim, son in law Kraig Beeman, son in law Chuck Clemens, granddaughter Leilani Mau Clemens, Goddaughters Kebe and Nikki Dunn, hanai daughters Jennifer Gieser and Varsek Harvtyunyan, and many nieces and nephews. On Tuesday, June 30, 2015, a funeral mass at Our Lady Queen of Angels, Keokea, Maui will be held at 9:30 A.M. followed by an 11:00 A.M. burial and memorial service celebrating his life and friendship at the Veteran's Cemetery in Makawao, Maui. For those who wish, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
