JADEN ALAKA`I DeZAFRA HO`OPAI
JADEN ALAKA`I DeZAFRA HO`OPAI Jaden, a beloved son, brother, grandson, father, uncle, cousin and friend, passed away unexpectedly on May 30, 2015, at the age of 36. He was a resident of Waialua, HI, who worked as a Night Crew Supervisor at Longs Drugs Wahiawa. A kind hearted, gentle and humble soul who embraced life for what it was, he loved unconditionally and saw the good in everyone around him. Jaden was born in Wahiawa, O`ahu on February 21, 1979. He lived part of his life both on Hawai`i Island and O`ahu, attended Hilo Union Elementary, returned to Waialua and attended St. Michael's Catholic School for 7th and 8th grade. He graduated from Waialua High & Intermediate School in 1997 and attended the University of Hawaii at Hilo. An avid movie buff, wonderful photographer, and exceptional video gamer, he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Jaden is survived by his mother, Cheryl Ann Noelani Ho`opai (Randall) of Hilo; father, George B. DeZafra of Pearl City; brother, Holo of Hilo; sisters, Haku and Haunu`u of Hilo; maternal grandparents, Joseph Nahinu and Carolyn Silva Ho`opai, Sr. of Waialua; Popo, Martha Chun of Honolulu; son, Cody; hanai nieces, Aliyana and Olivia, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Mililani Memorial Park & Mortuary, Waipi`o-Mauka Chapel on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 10:15 am, with visitation beginning at 9 am. Aloha attire.
