NANCY STRODE Died peacefully on June 30th, 2015, in Sacramento, CA. Her family and friends are grateful to have known her love and joyful spirit. Nancy is survived by her sister Laurie, daughters Poppy Strode, Mardi Wissmar, Mary Strode, and Cay Strode, grandaughters Erica Mueller and Jasmine Strode-Elfant, grandson Benny Mitchell, great-granddaughter Josie Mueller, and many beloved extended family members. Hawaii was Nancy's home for 35 years, and the friends she made there were very special to her. Up until her last breath, our mom embodied the aloha spirit: she lived to connect with others. She carried birthday candles with her, just in case there was a chance to celebrate. She was an artist with paint and also with people, and she added color to all of our lives. Aloha nui loa.
