HARRY T. MIYAHIRA Harry T. Miyahira, a veteran of the Korean War died at White Memorial Medical Center on July 22, 2015. He was born on March 31, 1930 in Kapaa, Kauai, HI to Matsu and Kana Miyahira. He is survived by his sister Martha Aiko Miyahira of Oahu and brother Richard of California; numerous nieces and nephews. After being discharged from the military, Harry worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 38 years in the Los Angeles area. He was an avid golfer, and he enjoyed singing karaoki throughout his entire adult life. In his own words "In retrospect of my life, which I can readily and clearly recall the knowledge and unbounded fulfillment I gained from all of my teachers, acquaintances, and from every facet of my experiences; who molded and created my deepest virtues and philosophy of life; life was satisfying. As I reminisce, life's been greatly blessed and enjoyable for me". A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 11:00 AM, at Fukui Mortuary, 707 E. Temple Street, Los Angeles; internment at Punchbowl of the Pacific, Honolulu on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 11:30 AM. Casual attire.
