75Benjamin Gomes, also known as "Benny" and "Ben," 92, of Naalehu, Hawaii, a retired crane operator at Kau Sugar Co., formerly Hutchinson Sugar Plantation, in Naalehu and Kau, died in a private family care home. He was born in Holualoa, Hawaii. He is survived by sons Claude and Wayne; daughters Bronwyn Denis, Sharon Ponce, Velda Wright and Gwendolyn Ramirez; sister Leslie Duarte; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 8 a.m. Saturday at Naalehu Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass: 9:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Naalehu Community Center. Casual attire. Flowers welcome.
