FRED WILLIAM SCHNEIDER, III
FRED WILLIAM SCHNEIDER, III Fred William Schneider, III passed away peacefully on July 9, 2015, two days before his 68th birthday. He was at his home at Hale Malamalama in Kuliouou. Born in Honolulu, Bill graduated from Punahou School in 1966. He loved his Punahou classmates, remembering them with Aloha throughout his life. Upon graduating from Punahou, Bill joined the United States Navy proudly serving during the years of the Viet Nam War. While on active duty, Bill was stationed on the U.S.S. Maury in the South China Sea. After serving in the Navy, Bill returned to civilian life in Honolulu. For many years, he worked in Hawaii's hotel and restaurant industry, where he loved to share a laugh with co-workers. As a passionate supporter of University of Hawaii football, Bill attended every home game for over two decades. Bill was a devoted son, brother, brother-in-law and uncle. He took great pride in his nephew and niece, who loved his kind-hearted spirit. We will miss Bill, and we will always remember the love and loyalty that he gave to his friends and family. Bill is survived by his brother, Bob, his sister-in-law, Francie, his nephew, Zander, his niece, Annie, and his aunt, Shirley Tetreault. Private services will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
