HARVEY L. GOCHROS Age 83, died peacefully in April 2015, surrounded by his loved ones. A University of Hawaii professor for 29 years, he was also a visiting professor at Univ. of California at Berkeley, Oxford University and Trinity Colleges. He was an author, recipient of a Fulbright scholarship and a UH Regents' Medal for Excellence in Teaching Award, served as president of the UH Faculty Retirees Association and volunteered as docent at the Honolulu Academy of Arts. He loved traveling, photography, eating, gardening, music and, mostly, his family, friends and students. He leaves behind his wife, Jean; son, David; daughter, Susan; son- in-law, Presley Pang; daughter- in-law, Debra; and grandson, Jeremy. A private service was held.
