Arthur F. Eaton
ARTHUR F. EATON (Major- Retired U.S. Army) Arthur Eaton passed away June 10, 2015 in Talent Oregon with his wife, Noni and his four children at his side. He was born in Honolulu in 1935. He attended Maryknoll School and graduated from Kamehameha School for Boys in 1953. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1955 and served tours in Germany, Korea, Hawaii, Alaska and Vietnam. He retired in 1968. In 1970, he moved to Talent, Oregon and earned his Bachelor's degree and teaching certificate from Southern Oregon State College. He taught 5th and 6th grade in the Eagle Point School District where he coached basketball and football. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and was a constant presence at any school event that his children or grandchildren were participating in. Art is survived by his wife, Noni; their four children, Kathy, Jody, Byron and Marti and spouses Dwayne, Sammie and Gary and eight grandchildren, Chris, Tiffany (Mike), Sean (Suzie), Heather, Josh, Mary, Briana and Kele. Art was preceded in death by his parents, Byron and Thelma Eaton of Honolulu, Hawaii. A memorial service will be held on August 8th at the Bernice Pauahi Bishop Memorial Chapel at the Kamehameha School Kapalama Campus. Visitation at 9am and services at 10am. Aloha attire.
