Charles Leigh "Chuck" Douglas Jr., 84, of Honaunau, Hawaii, a retired senior research scientist at the National Park Service in Nevada and an Air Force veteran, died in Kona Community Hospital. He was born in Danville, Ill. He is survived by wife Karen, sons Ian and Chad, brother John and six grandchildren. Private services.
