Sanford Tatsuya "Gus" Higashi, 90, of Kealakekua, Hawaii, a Department of Accounting and General Services transportation officer, coffee and macadamia nut farmer and an Army veteran who served in World War II, died at home. He was born in Honaunau, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Doris; daughters Karen Wong, Ira Yamagata and Iris Higashi; sisters Peggy Morita, Cynthia Sakamoto and Sue and Kay Higashi; and four grandchildren. Visitation: 3 p.m. Saturday at Kona Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, Kealakekua. Service: 4 p.m. Cas-ual attire. No flowers.
