Atsuo Murota, 92, of Honolulu, a retired city heavy equipment mechanic and an Army veteran who served in World War II, died in Honolulu. He was born in Kohala, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Elaine V.; sons Michael and Matthew; daughters Melanie Tanouye, Marianna Nunan and Michele Fusato; sisters Janet Kurokawa and Marian Tokuyama; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
