George Kojima, 83, of Mountain View, Hawaii, a retired electronics technician from the U.S. Geological Survey at Hawaii Volcanoes Observatory and an Army veteran who served in the Korean War, died in Hospice of Kona's Nakamaru Hale. He was born in Kawaihau, Kauai. He is survived by wife Lily, son Grant, daughters Parma Lou Lorenzo and Joydee Young, sisters Tomie Otani and Vicky Arakaki, seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Visitation: 9 a.m. Aug. 22 at Puna Covenant Church, 16-647 Old Volcano Road, Keaau, Hawaii. Celebration of life: 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to Hospice of Kona.
