WALTER GOMES JR. Walter Gomes Jr. 73, from Gardena, California died on June 10, 2015. He was born in Kahuku, Oahu, Hawaii on September 2, 1941. He worked at Castner Ford in Wahiawa and retired from the State of Hawaii Corrections as a prison guard. He is survived by his partner, Rachael Aniya, his son Michael Carlos Montoya (Linda), two grandsons, Jordon Wells Montoya and Dylan Robert Montoya and one great-grandson Parker Wells Montoya. Three sisters, Marilyn Gomes (Dennis) Correa, Shirley Gomes (Patrick) Eskildsen Sr. and Mary Laverne Gomes (Warren) Salvador Sr., Uncles Herbert and Clarence Miranda and Aunty Evelyn Miranda. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. On July 4th, a celebration of his life was held in Olympia, Washington for his Family and friends. Memorial services will be on Friday, August 21, 2015, 10:00 am at St. Anthony's of the Padua Catholic Church in Gardena, California. Private burial at a later date.
