Kakuichi "Shima" Shimabukuro, 92, of Honolulu, a retired equipment specialist supervisor for the U.S. Army Depot in Sagamihara, Japan, and a retired state Department of Transportation mechanic, died in Honolulu. He also was an Army veteran who served in World War II with the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, Company C, 100th Battalion. He was born in Waipahu. He is survived by son Alan T., daughter Susan M. Morita, brothers Bill K. Shima ad Dick R. Ede, sister Bettie S. Reque, and three grandchildren. Private services. Incorrect information in an obituary published Saturday.
