A U.S. Army veteran of the 223nd Infantry. He is survived by spouse, Kikue Kubota; sons, Herbert M. Kubota, Jr., Jerald M. Kubota; daughters, Jennifer (Pat) L. Wong, Julia (Andrew) T. Jackson; brother, Scott Kubota; sister, Edna Imaoka; 4 grandchildren. Private services.
